Over 175 students and teachers/advisers representing 17 schools across the state, parents, and guests attended the first-ever NJFEA Middle School Conference held at The College of New Jersey on May 9, 2012.
The full day included presentations by Mr. Wendell Steinhauer, NJEA Vice President, Interim Dean of the TCNJ School of Education, Dr. Mark Kiselica, and TCNJ Assistant Professor of Elementary and Early Childhood Education, Dr. Tabitha Dell'Angelo. Current TCNJ education majors took part in a panel discussion describing their experiences as they pursue careers in teaching. The middle school students were then treated to a tour of the TCNJ campus, lunch in the award-winning Eickhoff Dining Hall, and an afternoon of breakout sessions led by distinguished presenters.
The Center for Future Educators at TCNJ and the New Jersey Future Educators Association extend sincere appreciation to all who helped to make this a very special event for New Jersey's future teachers.
